Machine Learning and Image Processing

Early 2000, a team of professors and researchers of Polytechnic of Milano became operational in developing the original implementation of the Face Recognition Biometrics Algorithms, already based on machine learning techniques.

By 2007 renewed direction in the development of the study of Facial Biometrics. These experiences added to the value of complete project integration and experience giving birth to a startup, whose technological evolution is actually present and used in iB3

In 2014 iB3 engineers have teamed up with MPXLab (no-profit research organization located in Italy) in order to develop next generation video analytics 

In 2017 iB3 started specific developments in the biotech field, as we developed machine-learning based analytics, beside electronics, machineries, algorithms going inwards and turning into a deeper understanding of the human body.

In 2019 was presented a paper on iB3 experimental works: “Deciphering & delivering vibrational cell signatures” using Deep Learning algorithms, at the workshop “shaping the future of regenerative medicine” in Rocca d’Orcia (IT).

Data Science

In 2020 we started specific developments in data analytics and machine learning focusing on health data analytics and banking systems. 

We applied either classic, orthodox topics, and cutting-edge fields, both in computer science and socio-economic research. The former include data-driven approaches from econometrics, computational economics, novel applications of operational research, classical evolutionary algorithms (i.e. genetic algorithms and genetic programming, classifier systems), and machine learning (graph-based semi-supervised learning in particular).

Complex systems, the overarching research area, lie at the interdisciplinary intersection of the two; graph theory/complex networks and agent-based modelling are illustrative of our methodological approach.

Natural Language Processing

In 2023 we started integrating each other’s expertise into a major development effort, as Sinthesight® represents a paradigm shift in AI-driven text analysis. Unlike traditional NLP tools that focus on generic language processing, Synthesight orchestrates a network of Natural AI Agents (NAIA) —simulated expert entities capable of delivering real-time, multi-perspective analysis.

By leveraging a synthetic expert opinion processing pipeline, Synthesight® distills complex textual information into actionable insights, even with small language models and across multiple human languages. The result is an unprecedented level of depth, accuracy, and contextual awareness in understanding texts, making it a game-changing solution for industries ranging from journalism and policy review to business intelligence and marketing.
