Jiri Hradec – Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

A seasoned data and AI expert with over 20 years’ experience in designing and deploying sophisticated data analytics and AI solutions in both public and private sectors. Jiri has led major projects involving advanced machine learning, synthetic data generation, and natural language processing to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. His pioneering work at the Joint Research Centre has not only driven innovative research in AI but also laid the technical and strategic foundations that directly support the value proposition of Synthesight. This product embodies Jiri’s commitment to harnessing artificial intelligence for efficient decision making and cutting‐edge policy support—thereby reinforcing iB3’s promise to deliver next-generation AI solutions.

      • FABLES Project: Developed and deployed an agent-based model that uses autonomous, language-driven synthetic populations. This project harnessed AI to simulate complex policy scenarios—demonstrating the transformative potential of Synthesight in real-world applications.

      • Synthetic Data Initiative: Led multiple methods (including deep learning approaches) for generating synthetic data from microdata while ensuring privacy and bias correction. These methodologies are directly applicable to enhancing the reliability and insight-generation capabilities of Synthesight.

      • AI-Driven Policy Analytics: Designed and implemented applications using large language models for corporate and policy research. This includes creating unified search solutions that integrate diverse data sources (Eur-Lex, PubMed, etc.), a core example of how Synthesight delivers synthesized, actionable intelligence.

    • Additional Contributions: Engaged in projects such as AI Watch, GEOSS metadata analysis, and unstructured text knowledge extraction—all of which underline a comprehensive command of artificial intelligence and data synthesis relevant to building high-caliber AI products.

      • Intramural Consultant, DG Joint Research Centre (2013 – 2018): Developed end-to-end AI solutions (SeTA, INSPIRE metadata projects) and provided strategic direction on environmental and socio-economic policy analytics.

      • Director General, CENIA – Czech Environmental Information Agency (2005 – 2012): Managed a wide range of analytical and IT systems, harmonizing national environmental data and providing a strategic foundation for data-driven policymaking.

    • IT Leadership in Government and Private Sector: Prior roles in the Ministry of the Environment and at Entropy s.r.o. established a robust base in IT systems, GIS, and data analytics, further complementing my AI expertise.

Matteo Morini – Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)

In his capacity as data scientist he grew teams, held advisory positions for deeptech startups and provided expertise on data analytics – imaging and signal processing in particular – to the biotech and bioinformatics research industry.

His vision of data science is both wide and deep: he has acquired ample experience in multiple subfields and had the opportunity to get actively involved in every stage of the analytics pipeline, from surveying potential data sources down to a convenient visual presentation of results, including devising appropriate storytelling skills.

 Marco Tausel – Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Innovative electronic engineer (Polytechnic of Milano) and technology mentor with over 35 years of experience supporting SMEs. Proven expertise in guiding product, service, and process innovation strategies, and facilitating technology transfer and research collaborations. A strong background in robotics, computer vision, IoT, and distributed systems, alongside extensive experience in sustainable development. Marco is actively contributing to Swiss and Italian innovation ecosystem by supporting early-stage ventures, leveraging a vast network of academic, industry, and economic promotion contacts to help businesses access cutting-edge technologies and research capabilities.
